Recruiting staff and vacancy matching
Recruitment of new employees can be a time-consuming and expensive task. Our Employer Engagement and Event Specialists are committed to building relationships with employers to help them to grow, develop, and build a sustainable workforce whilst providing young people and adults with employment, education and training opportunities. Every year we manage hundreds of vacancies and offer targeted support to young people and adults to access them. With a team of over 60 frontline advisers delivering over 10,000 careers interventions to over 3,000 young people and adults every year, C+K is ideally placed to match vacancies with suitable candidates free of charge. We can also support employers to develop tailored engagement programmes that raise awareness of vacancies and encourage applications.

Virtual work experience and raising awareness of your organisation
Our virtual World Of Work (WOW) programme supports employers to showcase their organisation to thousands of local young people and to connect with the workforce of the future. WOW provides a platform for employers to deliver information about their company’s missions, nature of work and career opportunities available. We work with employers to provide young people the opportunity to experience a day in the life of an employee through virtual talk and tours, filmed video clips and written content. We are currently expanding our database of employers to promote their business through WOW. Nexus In-School Programme
The Nexus In-School programme offers a range of extended work placement opportunities to students in year 10 and 11, from schools in Calderdale or Kirklees. During their time on Nexus, students will follow a comprehensive programme of personal and employability skills workshops and attend a work placement. We work with local employers to secure appropriate work placements and our employers benefit from new opportunities to support young people and achieve company objectives including workforce growth. We provide a dedicated project officer, to mentor students through the programme whilst also providing a high level of support to families, schools and local businesses involved with the project.

Events
We have a proven track record of delivering successful opportunity events. We offer businesses, employers, training providers and educational institutions the chance to exhibit at our events which include our annual apprenticeship and Get Inspired events to name a few. These events enable businesses and educational institutions to connect with hundreds of young people and adults under one roof. Young people and adults can gain independent and impartial careers information, advice and guidance about post 16 and post 18 options so that they can make informed decisions about their future and submit high quality applications. We work closely with educational institutions and careers advisers to raise awareness of these opportunity events and to support young people and adults to attend.
We also have the option for exhibitors to sponsor at our events which can help raise the profile of your organisation. Business advisory group
This group of employers works with us to assist the C+K Board and Executive Team by offering strategic insight alongside practical advice around the delivery of careers programmes. This adds an employer voice to the labour market research and intelligence which underpins our careers products and supports businesses to shape job opportunities and contributes to labour market research initiatives.
