MyDirections website homepage image

The platform is designed for use by young people from Year 7 up to the age of 19, and includes articles and activities relevant to each stage of career planning. Every user has their own login and password, and completes a self assessment about their career ideas when they first log in. This then generates content on MyDirections based on their interests.

In addition to careers information, MyDirections includes a CV builder and a series of interactive career activities tailored to each year group. Whilst working through the different activities, learners answer reflective questions with their answers stored on the system, helping them to build their careers knowedge and develop their areas of interest.

There is also a World of Work section on MyDirections, which includes a range of work experience activities for students as well as employer profiles providing an insight into what it is like working for different companies and some of the roles available.

Advisers and career leaders have access to the administration area of MyDirections, enabling them to review resources, run reports and monitor the career activities students have undertaken.
