Are you a young person considering your next steps after exams?
We have some useful careers events coming up across the region. Considering what to do after your exams is never easy, even if you have an idea of what you might be interested in.
Events are a useful way of gathering information. You get chance to speak directly with career professionals, training providers and careers advisers. It might help you discover a pathway you didn’t know about, or give you chance to answer some questions.
Why attend a careers event?
• Get new ideas for jobs and training
• Meet career professionals who can help
• Talk to people within careers you might consider
• Ask questions about possible roles and training
• Meet other young people also in your shoes

Get Inspired Events October and November 2023
Kirklees Get Inspired Event 2023 – Huddersfield
Thursday 5 October 4.30 - 7.30pm
John Smith's Stadium, Huddersfield
Get Inspired is our annual careers event for Year 11 students from the Kirklees area and their parents/carers. It is aimed at all young people, those who know what they want to do after Year 11 and those who are undecided.
Young people and their parents/carers can:
• find out about the options available after Year 11
• chat with employers, training providers, school sixth forms, colleges, and universities
• discuss your future options, such as full-time education, including university
• find out about apprenticeships from intermediate level to degree apprenticeships
• get careers advice and guidance from our C+K careers advisers
• watch live presentations
Kirklees Get Inspired Event 2023 – Dewsbury
Wednesday 11 October 4.30 - 7.30pm
Dewsbury Town Hall, Dewsbury
Get Inspired is our annual careers event for Year 11 students from the Kirklees area and their parents/carers. It is aimed at all young people, those who know what they want to do after Year 11 and those who are undecided.
