C+K is creating a virtual World of Work programme

C+K is creating a virtual World of Work programme to help young people prepare for employment and provide employers with the opportunity to support the workforce of the future. Young people will get the chance to find out more about your company, the jobs available and the key skills required in a way that is COVID 19 safe.

The virtual programme will be available on our website and will be delivered by teachers in schools. It will include preparation for employment activities, employer-based video clips and job sector information designed to interest and inspire the next generation of workers.

We would like to work with you to develop a virtual work-based experience, which will enable your potential future workforce to:

• Find out about your organisation and your company aims and values
• Recognise the range of jobs and opportunities on offer across your organisation. This could include filmed demonstrations or two minute individual talks by your staff. Recordings can be made from home or the workplace using a laptop camera
• If possible with our support, go on a virtual tour of your workplace
• Complete hands on activities and research projects set by you and your employees, including real work initiatives, for students to complete in the classroom

If you would like to offer support with any of the programme outlined above and find out more about how our dedicated Employer Engagement Team connects employers and young people, contact our Employer Engagement Manager Tanya Barry on 01484 242000 or email tanya.barry@ckcareers.org.uk.
