C&K Careers are specialists in delivering careers information, advice and guidance to adults. We are a founder member of Careers Yorkshire and the Humber, which is the prime contractor for the National Careers Service in the region. We have also successfully delivered sub-regional projects for the Leeds City Region and the Department for Work and Pensions.
We also support local unemployed graduates through the 'Graduate Opportunities' (GO) programme and the 18-24 year old unemployed cohort on our 'Head Start' and 'Promoting Yourself' workshops.
'The Head Start project adult careers advisers have already supported 254 18-24 year olds against their target of 260. 151 of these young adults have accessed in work support and realised sustained employment. Our Adult team not only met but exceeded its targets for 2013/14, delivering 100.5% against a higher target than in 2012/13, which ranks us as the highest performing member of the Careers Yorkshire and the Humber partnership.
Four C&K Careers adult advisers were nominated by their clients for the Regional Extra Mile Awards for the 2013/14 contract, Richard won the Award in the general category; Helen, Louise and Sarah were runners up.
We support adults of all abilities, education/training providers and employers with a range of services aimed at maximising the potential of individuals and organisations:
- career direction and management coaching
- identification of transferable skills for career change
- psychometric testing to diagnose aptitude and vocational focus
- job search and application support, including CVs and online techniques
- sources of training provision and funding
- redundancy counselling
'[New] Career Coaches support clients beyond their guidance interviews through remote interventions and tracking until a positive destination is reached. This development is clearly having an impact with current datasets confirming that job and learning outcomes of 58.8% have been achieved against a profile of 25%. matrix report, January 2016.

Our Adult service delivered over 19, 200 adult guidance interventions in 2013/14.
Over 98% of our clients described the service they received as good.
Our adult advisers are well trained, they have or are working towards the Level 6 in Career Guidance & Development and regularly attend other relevant training,
